Goblin Shrine "Yasaka Shrine"
From the old days, Yasaka Shrine was called the palace under Namba and served the gods around Namba.
The tug-of war event
held on the third Sunday of January every year, is known to have started with the Japanese god, Mikoto Susano, fighting off the snake god (Yamatano Orochi) and excluding the plight of the people. In 2001, it was designated as an intangible folk cultural asset for the first time in Osaka City.
Osaka Yasaka Shrine is small, but if you go to Kyoto, you can meet the general headquarters of Ysaka Shrine across Japan.
