Shinsaibashi was river?

Osaka built a canal Nagahorikawa in 1622. Nagahorikawa and the canal are now near Shinsabashi.

A bridge was built in Nagahorikawa and the canal, when it was called Shinsaibashi. Shinsaibashi was named after the man who built the bridge.

Shinsabashi is a 35-meter-long, 4-meter-long wooden bridge with heavy maintenance costs and was soon replaced by a Germany’s steel bridge.

Since then, shinsaibashi has changed from an iron bridge to a stone bridge for the operation of a tram but The canal was destroyed by reclamation, and the shinsaibashi became land, so the bridge was no longer part of the river.

Today, Shinsaibashi is a shopping mall with countless brands and Osaka's big.

There are many brands ofUNIQLO, ZARA, GAP, GU , NIKE, ADIDAS, RUSH, Aimerfeel, ABC Mart, Daiso, Disny
